Data I/O Technician

Dazzle Pictures is looking for a Data I/O Technician to join us onsite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, preferably within the VFX industry, and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of our data storage and workflows.

THIS POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Transcoding of graphic formats for subsequent distribution and work with image data
Meeting the technical specifications set by the client and adhering to them when setting up and submitting the project and all its audiovisual deliverables
Conforming data (XML, EDL, AAF files) in editing software (especially Davinci Resolve and Foundry Hiero/Nuke Studio), preparation of editing timeline and its modification according to client's requirements (e.g. export of new preview versions of the cut with the current form of VFX shots)
Technical support to the VFX team and the studio pipeline
Fulfilling production requirements, receiving and sending graphic data and documents for project preparation
Close cooperation with the Head of R&D on studying workflow efficiencies and resolving potential bottlenecks in the pipeline

THE KIND OF PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR

At least three years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the VFX industry
Knowledge of colour spaces and the ability to transform/interpret them in dedicated graphics software
Experience with editing SW and data conforming (working with EDL, XML, and AAF files)
General knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud graphics package an advantage (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Encoder)
Good communication and organizational skills
Responsibility and ability to work both independently and as a part of the team
